How much is the Florida Private School Scholarship (FTC/FES-EO) for an Orlando student in 2026-27?

Orange County students are awarded $8,420 for K-3, $7,831 for 4-8 and $7,639 for 9-12 through the Florida Private School Scholarship, the FTC/FES-EO program that most people simply call the Florida voucher.

Two scholarship funding organizations handle it: Step Up For Students and AAA Scholarship Foundation. A parent applies to one, and the amount follows the county on the application rather than the school's location.

Payment comes each quarter. The school enters the student's enrollment in the EMA portal, the parent signs off there, and then the money is released.

Is there an income limit for the Florida Private School Scholarship in Orange County?

No. After the 2023 expansion, household income no longer determines eligibility; any Florida-resident K-12 student can apply, and lower-income families would be placed first only if funds ran short.

Residency and age are what count. The child must live in Florida and be old enough for kindergarten under the standard September 1 cutoff.

Which Orange County private schools accept the Private School Scholarship?

In the October 28, 2026 state listing, 218 of Orange County's 294 private schools carry the FTC or FES-EO participant flag, and each school page here displays that flag.

Since participation is a decision the school makes and the state records, the flag is the fastest check before a tour. An unflagged school can still deserve a phone call, because a school may enroll as a participant in any month.
